Brittany Mahomes did not let the Las Vegas Raiders forget the prediction that blew up in their faces. After the Kansas City Chiefs escaped Allegiant Stadium with a 30 to 27 victory, she used the Raiders’ own confidence as the punchline, as reported by Fox News.

The post came after Brittany watched her husband’s team narrowly defeat Las Vegas. She shared a carousel highlighting her outfit from the game, but the caption was aimed squarely at Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak and his certainty at halftime.

"’We’re winning. We’re gonna win the game,’" she wrote.

That line echoed what Kubiak had said with Las Vegas holding the advantage. The Raiders carried a 13 to 10 lead into the locker room, leaving their coach convinced that his team would finish the job.

"We’re going to win the game," Kubiak told CBS’ Tracy Wolfson at halftime.

The confidence made sense based on the scoreboard, but Patrick Mahomes remained at quarterback for Kansas City.

The Chiefs then produced the kind of fourth-quarter response that turned Kubiak’s declaration into prime material for Brittany’s celebratory jab.

Mahomes guided Kansas City on three touchdown drives during the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs outscored the Raiders 20 to 14 in the final period and moved in front with 3:21 remaining in the game.

A crucial connection helped Kansas City take that lead. Mahomes found Tyquan Thornton for a 55-yard pass, and Kenneth Walker scored on the next play to push the Chiefs ahead.

Thornton suffered a gruesome injury while making the clutch catch.

Kansas City nevertheless continued through the closing stretch as the momentum of the game swung sharply away from Las Vegas.

The Raiders then committed another costly mistake on the ensuing kickoff. Las Vegas fumbled the ball, and the turnover led to another touchdown by Walker.

Las Vegas still managed to make the closing moments tense. Kirk Cousins threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Brock Bowers, cutting Kansas City’s advantage to three points and keeping the Raiders within striking distance.

The Chiefs then failed to extend the lead, going three plays without earning a first down on their next possession.

That gave Cousins and the Raiders one more opportunity to chase the comeback that Kubiak had confidently forecast at halftime.

Instead, Cousins threw a critical interception on the Raiders’ final drive. The turnover ended Las Vegas’ last opportunity and sealed Kansas City’s narrow victory.

The result kept the Chiefs unbeaten with 4 wins and no losses. Las Vegas dropped to 3 wins and 1 loss after allowing the halftime advantage to disappear.

Patrick Mahomes focused afterward on remaining patient when games become difficult.

His comments reflected a contest in which Kansas City had to withstand a strong opponent before delivering its decisive surge in the fourth quarter.

"I think you have to stay with it," Mahomes said of the game.

"I keep saying it, but it’s not always going to be pretty. That’s a good football team, a good defense. It’s not going to always be light it up and go out there and scoring 50 points or whatever. It’s if you stay with the process, it’s going to come."

For Brittany Mahomes, the final score offered a much shorter response.

Kubiak had publicly declared that the Raiders were going to win, and her post ensured those words followed Las Vegas out of its own stadium after the Chiefs proved otherwise.

The FOX NFL Kickoff crew also discussed the matchup between Kansas City and Las Vegas. The program additionally covered the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns leading the AFC’s Best of the Rest.

Brittany’s post continued the trolling style she displayed during the earlier years of her husband’s NFL career.

This time, the Raiders supplied the setup before Kansas City delivered the result she used to twist the knife.
